Evolving How We Work: Investing in Safer Window Cleaning Across the East Coast

At CleanTEC, we’ve always taken pride in our roots as a traditional window cleaning business. It’s where we started, and it’s a service that still plays an important role in what we offer today.

However, as the business has grown and the environments we work in have evolved, so too has the way we operate.

As part of developing our residential window cleaning services across the East Coast, we’ve recently invested in water fed pole (reach and wash) systems across all of our vehicles. These systems are now predominantly used for first floor and above, significantly reducing the need for ladder work.

Why the Change?

This isn’t a change made for convenience — it’s a necessary step forward.

Across both residential and construction environments, expectations around health and safety continue to increase. Working at height carries inherent risk, and as a business, it’s our responsibility to reduce that risk wherever possible.

By adopting reach and wash systems as our primary method for higher-level work, we are:

  • Reducing reliance on ladders

  • Creating safer working conditions for our team

  • Aligning with modern health and safety standards

  • Improving efficiency across multiple property types

Looking After Our Workforce

One of the most important drivers behind this investment is our people.

Window cleaning has traditionally involved a high level of physical demand and risk, particularly when working at height. By introducing safer systems and reducing ladder use, we are actively improving the day-to-day working environment for our team.

It’s a long-term decision — one that supports not just safety, but sustainability in how we operate as a business.

Maintaining Standards

While the method has evolved, our standards haven’t changed.

Detail, consistency, and presentation remain at the core of what we do. Whether using traditional methods or modern systems, the expectation is the same — every job completed to a high standard.

The introduction of water fed pole systems allows us to maintain those standards while working more safely and efficiently.

Built for the Future

CleanTEC has grown from a traditional window cleaning business into a wider commercial and construction cleaning provider, but our approach remains the same — practical, reliable, and always improving.

Adapting how we work isn’t about moving away from our roots. It’s about building on them and making sure we continue to meet the expectations of the clients, sites, and environments we support.
