Introduction

Over the past 12 months, CleanTEC has supported a wide range of construction projects across the Central Belt of Scotland, working alongside leading contractors and housebuilders.

From large-scale refurbishments and historic redevelopments to high-volume new build sites, our involvement spans multiple stages of the build — from early works through to final handover.

Below is a selection of key projects we have worked on, or continue to support, across the construction sector.

Commercial & Refurbishment Projects

Robertson Construction

CleanTEC has continued to support Robertson Construction across multiple complex projects.

QMRI (Phase 1&2)

Supporting Phases 1 and 2 of this major refurbishment within a live healthcare environment. With Phase 2 recently completed, the team is now focused on final works across communal areas and stairwells, helping bring the building up to the required standard ahead of handover to the client, while preparing for the next stage of the project.

Edinburgh College of Art

A historic refurbishment requiring a high level of care and attention. Works included glass cleaning, internal detailing, and stairwell cleaning, working within a unique building environment with over 100 years of history.

University of Stirling – Aquaculture Innovation Hub

Supporting this specialist facility with full site cleaning aligned to key milestones and inspections, maintaining high standards within a live project environment.

GRAHAM

Teviot Row House, Edinburgh

A major redevelopment of the world’s oldest purpose-built student union. CleanTEC has delivered full-service cleaning support from early builder’s cleans through to final external window cleaning, contributing to the final presentation ahead of completion.

Brunstane Primary School

Supporting multiple phases of this modernisation project, with works including internal glass, detailed finishing, and preparation for handover between phases, including newly developed spaces such as the gym hall.

Ogilvie Construction

Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh

A large-scale student accommodation project delivering 156 studio apartments. CleanTEC supported the development from early works through to final handover, delivering builder’s and sparkle cleans across both residential and communal areas, adapting to project variations along the way.

JR Group

Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh

Supporting the transformation of a historic site into much-needed housing, delivering builder’s cleans and final sparkle cleans at key stages ahead of inspection and handover. Also providing specialist high level window cleaning as the project moved into finishing stages, ensuring presentation-ready standards across all glazing.

Caledonian Contracts

Old Course Hotel, St Andrews – Spa Renovation

Supporting a high-end refurbishment project within a luxury hospitality environment, requiring detailed cleaning and a high-quality finish throughout.

Scope of Works Across Developments

Across these sites, CleanTEC delivers:

  • Proactive 3-stage builder cleans

  • Sparkle and handover cleans

  • Welfare and compound facility cleaning

  • Showhome cleaning and preparation

From early-stage site support to final presentation, our teams work alongside site operations to maintain safe, clean, and handover-ready environments.

Approach & Standards

Working within construction environments requires more than just cleaning — it requires an understanding of site pressures, timelines, and expectations.

Our approach focuses on:

  • Supporting tight build programmes and handover deadlines

  • Maintaining consistent standards across multiple active sites

  • Delivering detailed finishes across both visible and overlooked areas

  • Operating safely and in line with modern health and safety requirements

A key part of how we operate is capturing data across each area of a site, including time spent and scope of works. This allows us to understand our numbers accurately, plan effectively, and provide reliable timeframes and costings — particularly when additional works or re-cleans are required towards the end of a project.

🛡️ Accreditations & Compliance

CleanTEC operates in line with the standards required across modern construction sites, holding key industry accreditations including:

  • Constructionline Gold

  • SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services)

These accreditations are often a requirement when working with Tier 1 contractors and reflect our commitment to health & safety, compliance, and professional standards across every project.

These standards underpin how we operate on every site — not just when required.

Looking Ahead

CleanTEC is continuing to build on its presence within the construction sector and is focused on strengthening relationships with contractors and developers across the Central Belt.

As we move into the next financial year, our aim is to expand on the partnerships already in place while continuing to deliver reliable, high-standard cleaning services across all projects.
